A retro kit launched by Kiwis.
New Zealand hit the ground running after a heartbreaking end to their World Cup campaign. The Black Caps defied all the odds and exceeded all the expectations to make it to the final for the second time in a row. However, the ended up losing to hosts England due to the boundary-count rule. Both the teams had finished on the same score after 100 overs as well as the super over before England were declared the winner.
But it did not take New Zealand long to bounce back and get back to winning ways. On the tough tour of Sri Lanka, they drew the Test series 1-1 before winning the T20Is 2-1. The Kane Williamson-led side is now gearing up for the home season which kick-starts with the blockbuster series against England. New Zealand will have a chance to avenge their World Cup loss when they host the reigning 50-over world champions.
And ahead of the home season, New Zealand have unveiled their ODI jersey. As usual, the Black Caps have once again made a beautiful jersey. New Zealand jerseys have always been admired by the fans from all around and one can say that the fans will like the new jersey again. While grey was the main color of their previous jersey, New Zealand have preferred azure for their latest one.
New Zealand Cricket took to Instagram to reveal the new jersey. They posted a photo of Martin Guptill wearing the new jersey with the caption, “What do we have here?” Unlike the last one, the new jersey also does not have stripes. The last jersey had black stripes on. This jersey was used by Blackcaps back in 2000.
New Zealand’s bumper home season
The Black Caps, meanwhile, are all set to have a bumper season at home. They will host England, India, and Australia. The home season will start with the Test and T20I series against England.
