The New Zealand-Bangladesh Test match at Wellington would remain as one of the most uncertain games in Test history as Bangladesh collapsed in their 2nd innings after breaking a few records in their first outing. Bangladesh recorded the highest individual and highest partnership in Test cricket and the total of 595/8 they posted in the first innings earned them a slender lead of 56-runs.

But a dramatic collapse on 5th day aided by injuries to their top batsmen and they were bowled out for 160 in the 2nd innings setting a target of 217 for New Zealand in 2 sessions. Captain Kane Williamson ensured his side won with a fair amount of overs remained in the game with a quick-fire century. Here we look at all the stats and records recorded during the series.

3 – Sabbir Rahman is only the 3rd Bangladesh player to score fifties in both innings of a Test batting at No.7 or lower. Mushfiqur Rahim and Nasir Hossain are the other two. Nasir has done it twice including once at Harare, the only instance of a Bangladeshi with two fifties in a Test outside home batting at 7 or lower prior to Sabbir.

4 – Kane Williamson is only the 4th New Zealand captain to score a 4th innings ton in Test cricket. Other three are: Ben Congdon in 1973, John Wright in 1990 and Daniel Vettori in 2009.
