Former Indian captain Virat Kohli recently reacted to his Indian teammate Shubman Gill’s picture on Instagram. The 33-year old jokingly praised the wristwatch that he gifted the Gujarat Titans batter. Both Kohli and Gill have a good bond between them and the duo has often been seen sharing light moments both on and off the field.
Both Kohli and Gill have been performing well for their respective franchises in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. While, Gujarat Titans are on the third spot in the points table, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have won one out of their two matches and are currently placed seventh on the table.
‘A king gifted me’ – Shubman Gill responds to Virat Kohli
Recently, Gill posted a picture of himself in GQ magazine. and he can be seen in a suit and a wristwatch. The modern-day great was left impressed with the young Gills’s watch. The right-handed batter complimented him for his wristwatch and asked him from where he got it.
Kohli commented, “Nice watch. Kitthon litti?” Replying to this, Gill said that watch was gifted to him by a ‘King’. “@virat.Kohli hahah a king gifted me paaji.”

Even though IPL is in its initial stages, both Gill and Kohli have performed well for their respective franchises. While Gill recently played an excellent knock of 84 runs for Gujarat Titans, the former RCB skipper will be seen in action on April 5 (Tuesday) when the Red Army will take on Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The Royals are currently on top of the points table with two wins in two matches. The Jaipur-based franchise have beaten the Sunrisers Hyderabad and five-time champions Mumbai Indians. With two wins in two matches, RR will have their morale high and will like to beat RCB in the next encounter. Meanwhile, RCB after winning their last encounter, will look to perform well and continue their winning run in the tournament.
