Only a day after India’s yet another Test series loss in England, the shocking news of the head coach Ravi Shastri dating the Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur spread like wildfire. It was reported that the couple has kept their relationship secret and are together from the last couple of years. However, amidst all the happenings, Nimrat Kaur called all the stories surrounding her as fiction and indirectly has quashed out all the speculations.
Nimrat was away from the limelight for a significant period of time and her last Bollywood movie was Airlift where she acted alongside the superstar Akshay Kumar. Her only other movie in the industry was ‘The Lunchbox’ which was critically acclaimed and one would’ve expected to work in more films. But reportedly, she has been working on a popular web-series which was the reason Nimrat is away from the Bollywood.
Nimrat calls the reports as ‘fiction’
Pune Mirror, on Monday, reported that the India coach Ravi Shastri and Nimrat Kaur are dating each other which fuelled even more speculations. The duo was roped in by a leading German car brand in 2015 and they are using their faces to launch their cars since then. The report had further added that a couple managed to keep their relationship away from the media for close to two years.
Nimrat, after being made aware of the news, came up with a clarification in a unique way and has called the news of her dating Shastri as a pure fiction. “Fact: I may need a root canal. Fiction: Everything else I read about me today. More facts: Fiction can be more hurtful, monday blues exist and I love ice cream. Here’s to trash free happy days ahead,” her tweet read in which she had indirectly taken the dig on all the reports circulating regarding her personal life.
Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri, who is in England with Team India currently, is yet to respond and it remains to be seen if he will make any comment on the matter.
Here’s Nimrat’s tweet:
