Glenn Maxwell, after taking a break from cricket due to mental health issues, has made an impressive return to the game. He has had a terrific Big Bash League so far and has left no loose ends in entreating the fans. And, reacting to Maxwell’s carnage in a game against Brisbane Heat, Jimmy Neesham, known for his presence on Twitter posted a hilarious reaction to it.

The inning in focus here was played by Maxwell while chasing 169 runs against the Brisbane Heat. On Friday, during the match, Maxwell had a blast with the bat. He smashed seven sixes and sent one ball rolling to the fence. And, it was due to his captain’s knock that his team cruised to victory with seven wickets in hand.

The tweet from Neesham had a funny piece of advice for the all-time highest run-scorer for Melbourne Stars. Replying to the video posted by the official BBL Twitter handle, Neesham advised Maxwell not to hit such mammoth sixes that land 26 rows into the crowd.

He added that it would still be counted as a six if the ball just crosses the rope. His tweet read: “You know it’s still 6 if it just creeps over the rope, right @Gmaxi_32 ??? No need to hit them 26 rows back.”

Glenn Maxwell has been in scintillating form in BBL 2019-20

The tweet left the fans having a field day on the microblogging platform. Everyone had their own reactions to the tweet, with some users reminding Neesham that he is lucky to be playing alongside him in the Indian Premier League. Both Maxwell and Neesham will be playing for the Kings XI Punjab in IPL.

Maxwell’s 83 not out off just 45 balls took him to the second spot of the list of highest run-scorers in the tournament. Maxwell is currently placed behind Marcus Stoinis who has a whopping 331 runs in his bag. Maxwell’s team too has been doing well in the competition so far.

With seven wins in their eight matches, the team is at the pole position in the points table. With Maxwell himself being in red hot form and his team as a whole doing well, he will definitely have his eyes pinned on the trophy for this season.
