India all-rounder Hardik Pandya visited his former Mumbai Indians teammate and close friend Kieron Pollard’s home ahead of India’s fourth T20I against West Indies. The two teams are supposed to fly to Florida in the US for the final two T20Is, and Pandya met Pollard and his family at the former West Indies skipper’s home before the departure.

Pollard has been associated with Mumbai Indians at the IPL for a long time now, and Hardik Pandya, who won four titles with the franchise, left the team earlier this year to be named Gujarat Titans’ skipper. The Indian all-rounder had a terrific outing this season as he led the debut team to their maiden IPL title, which was followed by his return into the Indian setup.

Meanwhile, Pandya shared a picture of himself with Pollard, his wife, and his kids and captioned it saying: “No trip to the Caribbean is complete without a visit to the King’s home. Polly my favorite and your beautiful family, thank you for hosting me, my brother. @kieron.pollard55 @jenna_pollard.”

The resurgence of Hardik Pandya

Pandya has become a regular face in the Indian team ever since his return to the game after recovering from a prolonged injury. The all-rounder was out of action, and out of the Indian setup since the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2021. He then took the road to recovery and opted out of the team as he requested the management to not consider him until he was completely fit.

Even back then, Pandya had been facing difficulty with bowling and was purely considered a middle-order batter. He then made a comeback at the IPL 2022 as a proper all-rounder and impressed everyone with his skillset. The winning performances led him to be named in the Indian squad for the South Africa series. He also led the team in the Ireland T20Is to add another feather to his cap.

Meanwhile, he Indian team is currently leading the five-match T20I series by 2-1, and will take on the West Indies for the remainder of the games on August 6 and 7 in Miami, Florida. India need just one more win to clinch the series, and in order to do so, the Men in Blue will be aiming for a win in their next fixture.
