Former Indian international Virender Sehwag has been maintaining his post retirement career the same way he handled his playing days. It has been quite a while since Virender Sehwag last came out to bat in an Indian kit, but he continues to do justice to his image off the field. Considering the fact that the Delhi-born batsman was a sheer entertainer on the field, his performance on social media platform Twitter has been equally engaging.

Virender Sehwag never fails to give his fans a dose of laughter with his words. From wishing celebrities on their birthdays to commenting on a trending issue, Sehwag brings about a hilarious touch of his own in everything. Sehwag was also a serious contender for the Indian head coach job but lost the race to Ravi Shastri. According to BCCI sources, if Sehwag was chosen as the perfect man for the job, his salary would be somewhere around 10 crores.

The interview:

In an interview with India Today Sehwag spoke about social media and more. When asked about how does the Nawab feel on being a social media star, Sehwag pointed out that there is no such special talent of his, but his casual jokes have been appreciated by the mass.

“Many stories come from the dressing room that one doesn’t speak when you are playing but can do once retired. People have told me they enjoy and are inspired. These are no great skills of mine just some commentary I used to joke about in the dressing room which people have now begun to like,” said Sehwag.

Speaking about any tweet that he could have avoided, he said that there is no such tweet that he regrets posting. “There is none.” Is what Viru had to say as an answer to this question.

Sehwag also mentioned that he does not care about what people think about what he writes. According to the veteran, he likes to be frank and writing his mind.

“I don’t bother about image. I write things that I like. I liked the show so I did this show. I write what I like I don’t bother what people think about it,” concluded Sehwag.
