New Zealand have decimated the Bangladesh cricket team in the three-match T20I series. The hosts won the third T20I by 65 runs clinching the series 3-0. Earlier, the Kiwi team won the ODI series as well. The game of the series at Eden Park, Auckland was curtailed to 10-over per side. New Zealand batsmen played explosive knocks in the match to power the team to a total of 141/4 in 10 overs. For them, young opener Finn Allen blasted 71 runs off 29 balls with the help of 10 fours and 3 sixes. Chasing this target, the visitors were bundled out for just 76 runs in 9.3 overs.

32 – After a whitewash in the ODI series, Bangladesh were unable to break their losing streak in the T20I series as well. They have now lost all of their 32 international matches against New Zealand in New Zealand.
9 – This was the ninth consecutive series win for New Zealand across formats at home. Their last series loss at home against India was in T20Is in February 2020.
18 – Finn Allen completed his half-century in only 18 balls during the innings. This is the joint second-fastest T20I fifty for New Zealand. Colin Munro who smacked a 14-ball fifty against Sri Lanka in 2016 is at the top spot.
591 – Tim Southee bowled brilliantly in the third game picking up 3 wickets for 15 runs in his 4 overs. He has now taken 591 wickets in international cricket surpassing Richard Hadlee (589) to become the most successful Kiwi pacer.
99 – In T20I format, Southee now has 99 wickets in 83 matches. He surpassed Shahid Afridi (98) and Rashid Khan (95) in the series and has now attained the second spot in the wickets tally. Only Lasith Malinga who has picked up 107 T20I wickets is ahead of Southee now.
102 – Martin Guptill has featured in 102 T20Is now, attaining the joint-third spot in the record tally. He became only the second Kiwi player after Ross Taylor to play 100 T20Is.
253 – Martin Guptill smashed 5 sixes in the third T20I taking his sixes tally to 253 in international cricket at home. He is the first player to complete 250 sixes at home across formats.
14.10 – New Zealand’s run rate of 14.1 in the first innings is the second-highest ever in a T20I innings with a minimum of 10 overs. Among the first innings tally, their run-rate is the highest ever in the 20-over format.
2939 – Martin Guptill now has 2939 T20I runs to his name in 98 innings. He surpassed Rohit Sharma (2864) in this series to become the second-highest run-getter in T20Is.
473 – Devon Conway continued his brilliant form in this series as well. He has now scored 473 runs in 11 innings at an average of 59.13. Only Hazratullah Zazai (493) and Dawid Malan (492) scored more runs than Conway in their first 11 innings in the shortest format.
4 – Todd Astle picked up 4 wickets for 13 runs in the third T20I. These are the best figures for a Kiwi spinner at home.
