India women are currently in New Zealand to play six white-ball games against the host nation for the roadmap to Women’s World Cup 2022. Ahead of the showpiece event, which is set to begin on March 4, NZC have announced a few changes in the ODIs of the series. It has to be noted that it was only last week that all matches moved to John Davies Oval, Queensland, owing to COVID-19 restrictions.

In the later turn, ODIs have been tweaked where the opening game will be played on the 12th of February instead of the earlier date 11th. The second and third games of the series will get underway on 15th and 18th February in place of 14th and 16th as scheduled earlier. The last two games will take place as per the initial schedule only. The venue will remain the same for all the games and a one-off T20I will take place as proposed earlier.

The T20I is scheduled to commence at 1 PM local time whereas ODI will begin at 11 AM. During India’s last tour back in 2019, India bagged the ODI series but lost the T20Is and this time around, both teams will be keen to set the right tone ahead of the WC.
