One of the all-time greatest women’s fast bowlers Jhulan Goswami went past the bat of New Zealand batter Suzie Bates with a stunning delivery that left the fans in awe. The 39-year-old bowled a special delivery that swung in slightly off the air and rattled the middle stump. Bates had no clue about the delivery as it looked totally unplayable and she tried to hit it straight over the bowler’s head missing the ball comfortably.

Goswami earlier dismissed New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine as well by trapping the right-hander in front of the stumps in just the second delivery of the innings. The two wickets from Goswami had pushed the New Zealand women’s side to the backfoot but the never say die attitude from the team had kept them still in the game. Amelia Kerr and Amy Satterthwaite got the innings together by swift fifties and instilled a lot of confidence in the dugout in a big chase of 280.

Here’s the video of Jhulan Goswami’s magical delivery

Goswami has been in the international circuit for more than two decades and she does know the perfect line and lengths with the new ball. The veteran bowler has been quietly doing her job for India over the years and hardly gives away freebies for the batters. It took a screamer from Goswami to dismiss Bates who has a phenomenal record in the ODI format and is a match-winner with the bat.

‘Jhulan Goswami just doing Jhulan Goswami things as she dismisses both the NZ openers!😍’ the live streaming platform tweeted on Twitter.

In fact, she came back into the attack for another spell halfway through the innings and picked up the important wicket of Satterthwaite as well to keep India in the hunt. However, Lauren Down’s unbeaten half-century helped New Zealand seal the series with a win in the third ODI and it turned out to be the second-highest run chase in women’s ODI history by three wickets.
