Official trailer of Kaun Pravin Tambe released, highlights inspirational story of cricketer
The film is set to have an OTT release on April 1.
Indian Premier League’s oldest ever debutant, Pravin Tambe, will have a biopic on his life released on the 1st of April. The titular character in the film is played by actor Shreyas Talpade who will bring Tambe’s cricketing journey to life. The biopic’s official digital screening partners, Disney +Hotstar, also tweeted a link to the trailer of the film titled ‘Kaun Pravin Tambe?’ on March 10th.
The cricketer from Mumbai plied his trade extensively in Mumbai’s club cricket circles before getting his big breakthrough at the IPL. The leg spinner was 41 when he made his debut in the tournament for Rajasthan Royals in 2013.
In his three seasons for the franchisee, Tambe played a significant role with the ball. Post his stint with the Royals, the bowler went on to represent the now-defunct Gujarat Lions, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. In 33 games, Tambe picked up 28 wickets in the IPL with a best of 4/20.
As far as the movie is concerned, it is all about how Pravin Tambe didn’t give up on cricket despite constant rejections and the story seems to be extremely inspiring.
