We are done and dusted with the league stage of the ongoing Oman D10 League 2022, and the four teams going to the next stage have been decided. Ruwi Rangers, Qurum Thunders, Amerat Royals, and Bousher Busters will battle it out in the Super 4 to earn a place in the final clash. Meanwhile, four exciting games were on display on Day 8 (March 20) of the competition.

Amerat Royals vs Qurum Thunders

The first game of the day went right down to the wire as Amerat Royals defeated Qurum Thunders by one run in a high-scoring thriller. A 26-ball half-century from opener Akshay Patel took the Royals to 115/3 in their allotted 10 overs. Chasing the total, the Thunders lost wickets at regular intervals but the scoring rate was always on the higher side. The Royals eventually registered a one-run win.

Darsait Titans vs Khuwair Warriors

The second contest took place between Khuwair Warriors and Darsait Titans, which somewhat was a one-sided affair. Batting at number three, Aamir Kaleem scored a 24-ball 50 as the the Warriors scored 129/2 in their allotted 10 overs. In reply, the Titans got off to a flying start with their scorecard reading 1/62 in 3.5 overs. However, a batting collapse meant the Titans lost the contest by 23 runs.

Bousher Busters vs Ghubrah Giants

Ghubrah Giants thrashed Bousher Busters by nine wickets in the subsequent encounter. It was a low-scoring affair as the Busters were restricted to 88/7 in their allotted 10 overs. Ali Kashif starred with the ball, taking two crucial wickets. The Giants didn’t break a sweat while chasing the low total as they crossed the line in 7.2 overs.

Azaiba XI vs Ruwi Rangers

Speaking of the final contest of the day, Ruwi Rangers thrashed Azaiba XI by eight wickets. Crucial knocks from Arsalan Bashir and Usman Haider took 106/6 in their allotted 10 overs. In reply, the Rangers crossed the line in 7.3 overs with Wasim Ali scoring an unbeaten 64 off just 23 balls.
