Three interesting games took place out on the same day in the Oman D10 Cup on March 14 and there were a lot of different climaxes to each game. Earlier in the first game of the day, Bousher Busters won the toss & elected to bat against Darsait Titans at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground Oman. Asif Khan’s 30 at the top combined with Abdul Rauf’s 25 in 12 balls in the middle order meant that the Busters reached a decent score of 98 in their 10 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Ikram Sadaat was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 14 in his 2-over spell.

In reply, the Darsait Titans lost wickets regularly which dented their run chase to a major extent and ended up falling short by 31 runs. Amanpreet’s 21 was the top score for the Titans while Sufyen Mahmood went through a brilliant spell of bowling and ended with figures of 4 for 8.

In the second game of the day, Ghubrah Giants won the toss and elected to field first against Ruwi Rangers at the same ground. After losing an early wicket, the Rangers came back strong with a 73-run partnership for the second wicket between Khalid Kail (41) and Sanuth Ibrahim (34). Hasnain Ali’s quickfire 9-ball 23 got the Giants to a good score of 111 for 4 in 10 overs.

Chasing a big score, the Giants were off to a disastrous start at 9 for 2. Ali Khasif was the only limelight scoring a brisk 37 off 21 balls with four sixes and a four. None of the other batters contributed much as the Giants lost the game by 36 runs in the end. Jitenkumar Ramanandi and Ibrahim both picked up three wickets each to help their side to a big victory.

In the final game of the day, Azaiba XI won the toss and elected to bat first against the Khuwair Warriors at the same venue. Jibran Yousuf’s 18-ball 38 alongside a half century from Arsalan Bashir set the side for a big finish. Waseem Akhtar gave the final touch with a 11 ball 22 to take his side to 122 for 3 in their 10 overs.

In reply, Danish Mohammad (20) and Aamir Kaleem (34) got off to flyer, while Kuttiraja Shanmugrajan and Amir Ali played some important cameos with the bat. However, after the top four, the Khuwair Warriors lost their way completely and lost the game by 11 runs.
