Dinesh Karthik, who bailed India out of trouble in the last night against Bangladesh seemed to be delighted after the victory. He played a top-notch innings to take India through in the final of the Nidahas Trophy. DK scored an unbelievable 29 runs off just 8 deliveries to provide India a memorable victory.
Dinesh Karthik walked into the middle at the fall of Manish Pandey’s wicket in the 19th over. The side was in a huge spot of bother then and also was under some great pressure. Vijay Shankar, who went in ahead of DK had a complete off day. He failed miserably with the ball and even more miserably with the bat. As Dinesh Karthik walked in, India required 34 runs from 12 balls to win the game.

Dinesh Karthik smashed a six off the first ball that he faced. He hit the ball to all corners of the ground in his brief stay in the middle. He held onto his nerve in a crunch situation as he scored 16 runs off the first three deliveries that he faced. Although the asking rate was sky-rocketing all the time, he never pressed the panic button and kept his composure.
Dinesh Karthik did an MS Dhoni in the last ball of the last over as he smashed a six. India required 5 runs to win off the last delivery. DK scored a quickfire 29 from just 8 deliveries as the entire team pounced on him after the winning runs were hit. His wife Dipika Pallikal also seemed to be delighted after this memorable victory.
The man himself, Dinesh Karthik was more than happy after this win. He shared a picture of his with the Nidahas Trophy after the game. He stated that it was one of the best nights of his life. ‘Probably one of the best nights of my life. Nothing comes close to crossing the finish line for your country,’ DK wrote.
