'One can't even yawn in peace' - Aakash Chopra on Sarfaraz Ahmed's 'yawning' picture in all three formats

The former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been a favorite target of trollers since the visuals of him yawning behind the stumps during the match against India in the World Cup last year had gone viral. The wicketkeeper-batsman is subjected to a lot of trolls and memes on a daily basis on social media. Meanwhile, the cricket fans got another reason to make fun of the cricketer during the Pakistan tour of England.

The last and final T20 International of the three-match T20 series on September 1 marked the end of the Pakistan tour of England. The battle between the two cricket nations ended with the host clinching the three-match Test series by 1-0 while the visitors managed to draw the T20 series by 1-1.

The first T20 International was washed away due to persistent rain in Manchester while the second match was won by Englishmen due to the spellbound knock of 66 runs by the skipper Eoin Morgan and notable contributions of Jonny Bairstow and Dawid who added 44 and 54 runs respectively to the scoreboard as their team chased a mammoth target of 196 put by the opposition team.

Meanwhile, the Men in Green managed to win the last match which resulted in the T20 series getting drawn. Batting first, Pakistan had racked up a target of 190 on the board while the seamers namely Shaheen Afridi and Wahab Riaz produced rip-roaring spells of 2/28 and 2/26 respectively which resulted in the visitors winning the final match by 5 runs.

The final T20 International at Manchester was the only match where Sarfaraz was featured in the playing XI otherwise in all the other five matches he was seen warming the bench.

During the third and final Test match, while England was playing its first innings, the visuals of Ahmed yawning had gotten circulated on social media. The cricketer was again seen battling with his sleep during the second T20I. Thus, he was mercilessly trolled on Twitter as the only cricketer to have yawned in all the three formats of the game.

On Wednesday, the former Indian cricketer and cricket analyst Aakash Chopra also reacted to such trolls and took a dig at the wicketkeeper-batsman. A Twitter user had tagged Aakash to share his thoughts regarding a meme on Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Responding to the fan, Aakash wrote on Twitter, “We are an incorrigible species. One can’t even yawn in peace  #iLoveMemes”
