Virat Kohli has left his mark as one of the greatest willow wielders of all time

In his 13-year career at the international level, Virat Kohli has already left his imprint as one of the greatest batsmen to have picked up the willow in the history of the game. The master batsman has scored 43 ODI centuries and stands second in the list of batsmen with the most ODI hundreds after Sachin Tendulkar (49).

Kohli is also the fastest batsman to have breached the 10000-run mark in ODIs, reaching there in just 205 innings. He has also scored a colossal 12169 runs in ODI cricket, at a stunning average of 59.07. The 32-year-old batting legend is also the only Indian batsman to have scored a staggering 7 double centuries in Test match cricket. Kohli has represented India in 94 Test matches and has plundered 7609 runs at an average of 51.41.

In the T20I format of the game too, Kohli has lorded over the bowlers. The Indian skipper is the only batsman to have scored over 3000 runs in T20I cricket and has amassed 3159 runs at an excellent average of 52.65.

The batting maestro will next be seen in action when India takes on England in the third Test match that will commence on 25th August 2021 at Headingley.
