Only Pakistan or Afghanistan can beat England in this T20 WC: Kevin Pietersen
England have won all their four games of T20 WC so far.
England are having a dream run in their T20 World Cup 2021 campaign so far as they have won all their matches and sit right at the top of the points table in Group one. In the same line of events, former English skipper Kevin Pietersen has come with a big prediction and stated that only Afghanistan or Pakistan can beat England in T20 WC but there are some conditions to it.
Pietersen added that pitch conditions will play a huge role in it as the game would also be played on a used wicket of Sharjah which has already slowed down. He also drew the comparison between the situation of the England team to that of the Chelsea football club in the English Premier League and stated England should be given trophy straightaway.
“Only Pakistan or Afghanistan can beat England in this T20 World Cup. BUT and it’s a BIG BUT, the game would have to be played on a used wicket in Sharjah. Anywhere else, just hand England the trophy like Chelsea should be handed the EPL trophy RIGHT NOW!” tweeted Kevin Pietersen.
I’m incredibly proud of the team, says England skipped Eoin Morgan
Talking about England’s last game, Sri Lanka invited them to bat first where Jos Buttler unleashed his sheer class and smashed a stunning century to own the game. The good happened for Englishmen when rusty skipper Eoin Morgan also contributed with vital 40 runs as they went on to win the game by 26 runs gracefully.
“I am incredibly proud of everything we have done tonight. The guys had to fight incredibly hard. Conditions here continued to change, Tymal going out asked another question of ourselves. But Livingstone and Moeen stepped up exceptionally well with the other guys. I can’t fault our guys tonight. I thought Jos Buttler played one-off his best-ever innings in an England shirt. It was incredible to be at the other end and watch. He is one of the best in the game and it’s a privilege to have him in our team. The all-round fielding effort was good. We are delighted with the four wins,” said Morgan after winning the fourth straight game.
