The absence of international cricket has encouraged many cricketers to notch up their social media activity. While some have resorted to TikTok, some have been active on Twitter and Instagram. Almost every India international has been sharing photos and videos of himself during these times when the sporting scenario is at a halt due to COVID-19 pandemic.

India’s left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav recently hogged the attention after he shared a throwback picture of himself. Kuldeep took to Instagram to share his picture with India opener Shikhar Dhawan. Both the cricketers can be seen posing at the Dharamsala cricket stadium, which is known for its scenic beauty.

“Good times with Shikhi paaji. #teamimdia. Always fun hanging out with @shikhardofficial paaji. Missing our fun sessions and playing the game,” wrote Kuldeep while sharing the picture. Both Dhawan and Kuldeep are known for their bond, on and off the field. They’ve often talked about their camaraderie and the relationship which they share while playing for the national side.

Kuldeep was last seen in action during India’s New Zealand tour

Kuldeep’s picture with Dhawan was flooded with comments in no time as fans showered their love over the duo. However, it was Dhawan’s hilarious comment which stole the limelight in the comment section.

“Shukar hai bhagwan ka ismein tu mujhe choonti yaa maar nahi (Thank God! You are not pinching me here). Love u bro,” wrote Dhawan on the picture. The banter didn’t end there as Kuldeep also had a hilarious reply under his sleeve.

The chinaman bowler didn’t hold back from taking a dig at Dhawan as he wrote, “@shikhardofficial paaji pure 4 mahine ka badla lunga ek hi baar me choontiyo ka (Brother, I will take revenge for 4 months of pinches in one go) love you paaji.”

Shikhar Dhawan’s comment.

Dhawan and Kuldeep were set to play for their respective IPL franchises in the thirteenth edition of the tournament. However, due to the postponement of the cash-rich league, they’re spending their time home with their families.

Considering the current situation across the globe, there’s no certainty over the resumption of the much-awaited IPL 2020. However, reports have suggested that the league will be hosted in the latter part of the year, in the window of T20 World Cup 2020.

BCCI is still waiting for the ICC to take a stand over the fate of T20 World Cup in Australia. If the showpiece event gets pushed further, the BCCI are looking to slot the IPL 2020 in that particular window.
