Australia’s Test vice-captain Steve Smith was unhappy with the movement of the buggy camera which led to a slight distraction for him at the crease while batting in the third Test against Pakistan in Lahore. The right-hander was seen immediately venting out his frustration to the umpires and wanted the buggy camera out of his vision. It has to be noted that Smith has been a person of superstitions while batting and his concentrations levels have been immense on the ground.

Earlier in the day, Australia won the toss and chose to bat, and were immediately sent on the backfoot with two early wickets of David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne. However, the centurion from the previous game, Usman Khawaja and Smith managed to get through the brilliant spell from Shaheen Afridi and rebuilt the innings for the visitors.

Here’s the video of Steve Smith fuming at the buggy movement

Smith was in his zone by battling hard at the crease against the new ball and he immediately showed his discomfort with the buggy movement. The commentators who were on air realised the funnier side of it and explained the strong eyesight that has helped Smith’s batting over the years. Smith is more of a hand-eye coordination player and the batter will play an important role in Australia’s tour to Pakistan.

Smith has been in decent form in the series so far ,with scores of 78 and 72 in the two innings he has played and he would be looking to get to the three-figure mark which he has been falling short of reaching frequently.

The New South Wales lad still averages over 60 in Tests but has dropped down to No. 3 in ICC Test player rankings for batters after holding the No. 1 position for a long time. Meanwhile, the duo of Smith and Khawaja has build a solid partnership for the third wicket already and they will be looking to carry on the same way.
