The Pakistan Cricket Board is in conversation with the boards of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to find a replacement for India as there are doubts over BCCI acknowledging the MoU signed between the two countries. The Pakistan cricket board is initiating these talks which are a part of the contingency plan with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the hope that this could tempt either of the two countries for a bilateral home season at the end of the year.
Head of the executive board of the Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi quoted PTI “Hopefully we will see either Bangladesh or Sri Lanka in Pakistan this winter”
There were a lot of doubts on Lahore hosting the final of the Pakistan Super League but everything went smoothly which has left the Pakistan fans hungry for more cricket in Pakistan. The Pakistan board is also confident of hosting more matches in the country and has thus involved themselves in talks with other countries. The PCB is also thinking of going ahead with the legal battle against India which demands compensation from the BCCI for failing to honour the MoU.
According to the PCB, it has lost nearly $200 million in revenues as India is reluctant to green-flag Pakistan to host the home series. Sethi now believes that with the successful hosting of the Pakistan Super League final Pakistan has been able to send a message to the entire cricket fraternity about the strong security arrangements in the country and are ready to host international matches again.
Sethi has also said that they are in talks with Sri Lanka to tour Pakistan and Bangladesh could send in a team of security experts to assess the arrangements in Pakistan.
After the Uri and Pathankot terror attacks, relations between India and Pakistan has degraded and India has refused to play a bilateral series with Pakistan. The former BCCI president Anurag Thakur has also expressed his aim to boycott Pakistan because of terrorism which did not go down well with the PCB. The board had decided to take action against the BCCI president for the same.

The BCCI had disagreed to play two of Pakistan’s home series and also did not fulfil the MoU they had signed in 2014 which provoked the PCB to come to a decision to take legal action against the BCCI.
Looking at the current situation between the two countries there are almost zero chances of a bilateral series between India and Pakistan but Either Sri Lanka or Bangladesh could just agree to make a tour to Pakistan.
