Pakistan cricketer Asif Afridi seeks prayers for his daughter through emotional post
Asif Afridi recently earned his maiden call in Pakistan's T20I squad against Australia but couldn't feature in the playing XI.
Pakistani cricketer Asif Afridi has posted a photo of his daughter in hospital and has sought prayers for her to recover soon from around the world. Afridi is yet to make his international debut for Pakistan but has been around the domestic circuit for a long time since making his first-class debut in 2009.
Afridi played for the Multan Sultans in PSL 2022 and he was quite impressive taking eight wickets in five games at an economy rate of 6.52. He recently earned his maiden call to the Pakistan T20I squad against Australia but did not feature in the playing XI. He came in as a cover for Mohammad Nawaz and the 35-year-old will be looking to make a statement when he gets the chance.
Meanwhile, the picture of her daughter in the hospital with the wires connected to her head was quite emotional and the former Pakistan cricketers like Umar Gul, and Salman Butt all showed their support. They also replied to his tweet by requesting blessings on the little child’s health.
