Pakistan fan behaves disgracefully with Sarfaraz Ahmed, body shaming him in a mall
Fans continue to criticise Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Pakistan lost to India by 89 runs in Manchester on June 16. This was their seventh defeat at the hands of their arch-rivals and clearly, it hasn’t gone down well with the fans who are not relenting from criticising the team. Sarfaraz Ahmed, the skipper, has been at the receiving end the most. His decision to opt to field after winning the toss and then yawning while leading the side has come under the scanner and the trolls related to same has left the social media in splits.
While several videos have surfaced in which Sarfaraz Ahmed is being trolled and body-shamed. But the latest one which is going viral has to be the worst. One of the Pakistan fans literally called the Pakistan captain ‘Mota’ (Fat) in a mall in England when the cricketer was roaming with his family. Sarfaraz was with his son and that is when that fan asked him for a selfie.
The 32-year-old duly stopped obliging to the request only to be body-shamed by the fan. Soon after that, Sarfaraz Ahmed walked away as the fan continued to criticise him over the same point. Well, while the fans have all the right to criticise their team and the players, one should also think that the sportsmen have their personal life. Sarfaraz was visibly irked over the shameful remark and walked away from the fan.

Pakistan team at the receiving end
Meanwhile, such has been the outrage after the loss that several Pakistan players like Mohammad Amir and Shoaib Malik had to request the fans to not cross the limit. The left-arm seamer Amir was of the opinion that the fans shouldn’t abuse the cricketers and also went on to say that the fans had every right to criticise the players but with fair words. Malik, on the other hand, felt that the families of the cricketers shouldn’t be attacked on social media.
The pictures of the players going on an outing and having sweets and ice-creams also surfaced on social media. Many felt that those pictures were of the night before the India match and without verifying the Pakistan media also lashed out at the team. This is when Malik had to come out and clarify that the pictures were of June 13 night and the team had obeyed the curfew timings ahead of the India game.
