The tension between India and Pakistan has been going on for quite some time now. The two nations haven’t been at peace and it has affected cricket as well. India and Pakistan barely play cricket against each other and it is limited to just ICC (International Cricket Council) and ACC (Asian Cricket Council) events.
However, love seems to have zero boundaries. We already have a couple of Indo-Pak relations who are husband and wife. Pakistan legend Zaheer Abbas was the first to marry an Indian girl. Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza is married to Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik. It’s been over nine years since they are married. Now, we are all set to see another Indo-Pak pair.
Though it might not be as celebrated as the Mirza-Malik pair, Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali is all set to get married to an Indian national, Shamia Arzoo. The duo is scheduled to tie the knot on the 20th of August in Dubai. Arzoo is a flight engineer and is associated with Emirates Airlines. She is based out of New Delhi and her family is also settled in the capital of India.

“Our families wanted to keep this a low key affair. But since the matter has come out in the media I have decided to make an official announcement to ensure there are no speculations surrounding my marriage,” Hasan Ali was quoted saying in a news conference in his hometown, Gujranwala.
Hasan Ali and Shamia Arzoo had met a year ago in Dubai and their friendship grew and they got closer as well. There were a lot of speculations surrounding the duo’s relationship. It was only a few days back that the 25-year-old pacer said that nothing is confirmed and the families were yet to meet. However, the pacer has come out and cleared the air.
Hasan Ali was a part of the Pakistan squad in the recently concluded 2019 World Cup. Pakistan were eliminated in the group stages of the tournament as they finished fifth on the points table. Ali struggled quite a bit. He picked up just two wickets from four games before he was dropped from the playing XI.
