World XI levelled the 3-match series against Pakistan with a 7-wicket in the 2nd T20I game by chasing down the 175-run target set by the home team with one ball to spare. A collective batting effort helped Pakistan post 174/6 in their 20 overs which wasn’t enough in front of a Thisara Perera’s blitz of 19-ball 47 as he hit five sixes when it mattered the most. Hashim Amla anchored the innings with an unbeaten 72 to take his side home along with Perera.

1 – Hashim Amla became the first player in T20I history to score fifty and more for two different teams. He scored six fifties for South Africa and his first for World XI in this game.
5 – Thisara Perera’s five sixes in this innings are the joint-most for any player in a T20I without hitting a four. His 47 runs are also the joint 2nd most for any player in a T20I without hitting a four.
22 – Sarfraz Ahmed’s duck in this game is his first in 22 T20I innings. This is also his first duck in International cricket as the Pakistan captain.
41 – For the first time in his T20I career, Samuel Badree didn’t open the bowling for his team. Badree, in his 41st T20I, came in as the first change to bowl for the first time in the innings.
41y 110d – Paul Collingwood became the first World XI player to feature in International cricket after turning 40. He is also the 9th oldest player to feature in a T20I game.
47* – Thisara Perera’s unbeaten 47 is his 2nd highest score in T20Is. He scored 49 against England in 2014. In his Twenty20 career span of 174 innings, Perera scored more than 47 only on three occasions. He scored 72 and 55 respectively in 2012 Sri Lanka Premier League and the 2014 Champions League T20.
175 – World XI’s run-chase of 175 is the 2nd highest successful chase for any team in T20I cricket against Pakistan. Australia chased down 192 in 2010 while New Zealand chased 169 in 2016. No other team managed to chase 150+ in T20Is against Pakistan.
247.36 – Thisara Perera’s strike rate of 247.36 is the 2nd highest for any player in a T20I innings against Pakistan. (Min: 30 runs) Mike Hussey had a strike rate of 250 during his unbeaten 60-run knock off 24 balls in 2010 WT20.
1003 – Runs Fakhar Zaman has scored in Twenty20 cricket. He completed 1000 runs in T20 cricket during his 21-run knock in this game.
1702 – Runs Shoaib Malik has scored in T20I cricket so far. He is now the leading run-getter for Pakistan in this format going past Umar Akmal’s 1690 runs.
2378 – This game was Paul Collingwood’s first International match after 2378 days. His last International game was in the 2011 World Cup. Collingwood last played a T20I in January 2011.
