Parthiv Patel and Dean Jones engage in a funny Twitter banter on the Australian's birthday
The two are often seen having a go at each other on social media.
Twitter is a platform where several famous personalities engage with each other and their fans. Many cricketers use it as a medium to connect with other cricketers as well. At times, cricketers have been found engaging in banters on Twitter as well. In the wake of the Coronavirus Pandemic, most of them have resorted to social media to kill their time.
And Dean Jones and Parthiv Patel who more often are seen having a go at each other wittily were again at it on Tuesday. The two share a really good bond since the time the former had commentary stint in India with Star Sports. On Tuesday, Parthiv Patel decided to take a sly dig at the former Australian on his birthday.
Dean Jones comes up with a hilarious response
Parthiv Patel uploaded a picture of an old man with almost no hair and wished Jones. He pointed out that the day is not far when we would see Dean Jones like the picture he just uploaded. His birthday wish said, “Happy birthday @ProfDeano…have a great year..not far from this pic…@scottbstyris @CoachHesson @StarSportsIndia #selectdugout”
Dean Jones, who is celebrating his 52nd birthday, did not take a step back and replied with another hilarious tweet. Jones reminded that he is just 52 and still has a head full of hair. He also said that they will discuss it once Parthiv reaches this age. His tweet read, “Just remember bud… I am 52..and I have a full head of hair! Let’s talk when you tech the same age! Love ya bud!”
Parthiv Patel, who has played 25 Tests, 38 ODIs and two T20Is for India, is currently staying back home waiting for the IPL to start. The wicket-keeper batsman from Gujarat is contracted to Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) in the IPL 2020. In the recently concluded Ranji Trophy, Parthiv guided Gujarat to the semifinals but unfortunately couldn’t get his hands on the trophy like he did in 2016-17 edition.
Dean Jones, on the other hand, recently returned from Pakistan where he was coaching Karachi Kings. The tournament had to be cancelled just before the knockout stages due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
