As the Pakistan Super League looms over the horizon, it would seem as though this edition, the 2017 one is expected to be all the more better for the country as well given the fact that the final is expected to be played in the country itself. After a lot of heckling and other such hustling from the PCB chiefs it is clear that the final is going to be held in the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

While this is certainly a step in the right direction, the Peshawar Zalmi is one of those sides to be affected by the hectic international schedule in recent times. Shakib-al-Hasan, perhaps one of the most important members of the squad is expected to make his way into the grand scheme of things only on the 13th of February. This means that the Bangladeshi all-rounder will only be available following the Test match against India.

The Zalmi however, will be dealt another blow as their premier batsman and England skipper Eoin Morgan will also be released from his role as he will be on international duty in the upcoming months in March whilst playing for England. The one season that has taken place in the Pakistan Super League thus far has seen Islamabad United clinch the victory.

However, despite all of this, it is expected to be one of the most impressive seasons in the upcoming PSL given the fact that each side has an equal balance of international players as well.

A tweet from a prominent Pakistan journalist read: “Peshawar squad news – Shakib Al Hasan to join squad on 13th February. Eoin Morgan will leave at the end of February for England duty #HBLPSL.”
