Indian pace spearhead, Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a star-studded wedding reception on December 5 (Tuesday), which was attended by a number of his Indian teammates. The likes of Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and MS Dhoni attended the event, lending a celebrity sheen to it. The reception was held at the Taj Hotel, New Delhi.

India are currently playing against Sri Lanka in the third and final Test match of the 3-Test bilateral series. The match venue being the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi, most Indian players attended Kumar’s reception in the city on Tuesday evening. Most of the players were snapped with the lovely couple during the evening.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar holds wedding reception in New Delhi

Tuesday evening marked a high-octane gala at the Taj Hotel, Delhi as the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli along with several other members of the Indian Cricket Team attended Kumar’s wedding reception. Kumar had previously tied the knot on November 23 with his long-time love interest, Nupur Nagar. The pacer had specifically asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for a leave after having played in the first Test against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, citing personal reasons. Several pictures of the event were posted on Instagram, with the lovely bride and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the frame, along with the other Indian players.

The reception was particularly held at Delhi for Kumar’s teammates to be able to attend it. Apart from Kohli, former Indian captain, MS Dhoni, batsmen Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara were also present. Kumar’s pace quartet buddies, Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav, along with China-man bowler, Kuldeep Yadav also attended the reception. India, who have a 1-0 lead in the Test series, look all set to draw the third game against the Lankans with the latter putting up a resolute resistance on the fifth day against the Indian bowling line-up.
