Pictures of MS Dhoni celebrating his 39th birthday go viral on social media
Dhoni has been away from the limelight for a long time now. The former India skipper was last seen playing for India during the semi-final of World Cup 2019.
Former Indian captain MS Dhoni celebrated his 39th birthday earlier this week on July 7 (Tuesday). A plethora of cricketers extended their warm wishes to ‘Captain Cool’ on his special day through social media. The veteran cricketer celebrated his birthday in a private ceremony with his family in his farmhouse at Ranchi.
Since Dhoni is not active on social media, the fans couldn’t witness the celebrations that took place on their favourite cricketer’s birthday. There were no pictures uploaded by any members of his family from the party.
Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya along with their better halves Natasa Stankovic and Pankhuri flew down to Ranchi in a chartered plane to surprise Dhoni on his birthday. All four are quite active on social media but surprisingly they have also been off social media since then.
Now, after a few days of Mahi’s birthday, a few pictures of the party have surfaced on social media. In the viral photos, Dhoni can be seen sharing the cake with one of his friends. It was an adorable sight with his pet dog in the backdrop.
Dhoni can be seen sporting an olive green t-shirt along with black track pants. Notably, the Ranchi stalwart looks quite different from his look that had got viral on social media a few days back.
MSD is not thinking about retirement: Dhoni’s manager
On the occasion of his birthday, there was another video which got viral where Dhoni can be seen waving back to the fans who visited his house that day. Though he didn’t meet them personally, he waved to them while riding his bike.
Dhoni has been away from the limelight for a long time now. The former India skipper was last seen playing for India during the semi-final of World Cup 2019 against New Zealand. After that, Dhoni made himself unavailable for series against West Indies, Bangladesh, Australia and New Zealand.
However, Dhoni hasn’t taken retirement from International cricket. This means that he remains to be in contention to make his return to the Indian cricket team. Amid all the speculations of his retirement, his manager Mihir Diwakar had recently confirmed that the Ranchi-born wicketkeeper is not at all thinking about the retirement.
