PM Narendra Modi responds after Mike Hesson shares clip of an empty Mumbai sea link amid curfew
Hesson was appointed as the director of operations for Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2020.
Coronavirus effects are quite adverse due to which the authorities have come onto their toes to protect every individual from the same. Even, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India announced a curfew for the whole day in the country. The things in the nation have come to a still as the citizens are sitting back at their home. Mike Hesson, the former head coach of New Zealand has shared a clip in which Mumbai sea link looks different in the absence of vehicles.
The sports industry has suffered huge losses as the games that were scheduled to be organized have either been postponed to future or cancelled with immediate effect. The biggest of all is the postponement of Indian Premier League 2020 that was scheduled to get kicked off from 29th of March. Cricketers, actors and everyone is just sitting back at their home under such critical conditions. Meanwhile, every single individual is taking precautions to be safe from the life-threatening virus.

The cricketers have also shown their concern towards the fans and shared the proper guidelines to follow in order to stay away from getting infected with Coronavirus. In the meantime, Mike Hesson, the director of operations of RCB has shared a clip in which the roads look completely empty. According to Hesson, it is a very rare sight to watch a vacant Mumbai sea link.
Mike Hesson took to his Twitter handle and shared a clip. He also wrote, “Have seen this view many times from my hotel room over the years but not with less than 1000 cars on it……..#India is having a curfew today for 14 hours to fight #covid_19 it looks like it’s being followed.”
Hesson was appointed as the director of operations for Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2020. But, due to the outbreak of CCOVID-19, the things went out of control. And, BCCI had to postpone the tournament to mid-April. However, there are reports that the tournament might get postponed to the next couple of months or might not be played in this year due to current situation across the globe.
PM Narendra Modi also responded to Hesson’s tweet and wrote- “Can you see the link? Looks like people have closed ranks to uproot the COVID-19 menace. #JantaCurfew”
