Team India captain Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, recently met the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Modi congratulated the newly wed power couple of the entertainment industry. While Virat is arguably the most popular sports person in the country, Anushka is one of the leading ladies of the Bollywood in the present day. Virat and Anushka met Narendra Modi at his residence on Wednesday evening (December 20, 2017).

The official social media handle of the PMO India confirmed the news on micro blogging site Twitter. It also uploaded a picture in which Virat and Anushka are seen greeting Narendra Modi. The couple has been receiving the good wishes and regards from many celebrities ever since they tied the knot. The PMO India is the latest to join the long list of celebrities.

The times ahead

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are now expected to host their wedding reception on December 21, 2017. The reception is set to take place at New Delhi. The couple will be arranging a special wedding reception for their industry friends on December 27, 2017.

Following the celebration, the Indian team will head for South Africa for a full tour as Virat Kohli will assume the captaincy duties. Anushka Sharma will also be accompanying Kohli on the tour. She will head back to India in the first week January itself to shoot for her next Bollywood movie with Shah Rukh Khan.
