'Prayers and wishes of entire country are behind you' - Cricketing fraternity after Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for COVID-19
Abhishek Bachchan has also been tested positive as he confirmed that he and Amitabh had mild symptoms.
Saturday ended on a tough note for India as the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan confirmed that he has been tested positive for Coronavirus. Rather his son Abhishek Bachchan has also been contracted with the virus and the rest of the family is being tested now. Abhishek confirmed that he and his father had mild symptoms and also requested everyone to stay calm and not panic.
The cases in India are rapidly rising at the moment with more than 27,500 Coronavirus cases being registered on July 11. Overall, the country has registered close to 8.5 lakh cases with around 2.9 lakh active cases at the moment. As soon as the news of Amitabh and Abhishek being tested positive went viral on social media, the wishes for their speedy recovery flooded on Twitter.
Amitabh Bachchan, in his tweet, said that he has contracted the virus and also requested the people in his contact over the last 10 days to get tested as well. He is currently admitted in Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai along with his son Abhishek.
Cricketers wish for speedy recovery
The cricketing fraternity wasn’t behind either in wishing Amitabh Bachchan a speedy recovery. The likes of Aakash Chopra, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Mithali Raj among many others took to Twitter to pray for his well being. Yuvraj, in his tweet, cited that Amitabh is the fighter and will see through this tough time with power and resilience.
“Wishing you a speedy recovery @SrBachchan. The prayers and good wishes of the entire country are behind you. You have always been a fighter and will see this through too with your will power and resilience. Hope you get well really soon,” he tweeted. Mithali Raj was stunned to know about the news but is confident that the legendary actor will win this battle against COVID-19.
“Distressed to hear the news . Get well soon Sir , you are fighter and like many other battles you have won in your life, I am positive you will win this one too !” she tweeted.
