4. Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan was benched for the ODI series against West Indies as Shubman Gill was preferred ahead of him, and he is likely to get the nod in the middle-order in the Zimbabwe series. Although the left-hander might not get the wicketkeeping gloves, he can play the number four role where he was quite successful for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020.
Kishan has been in excellent form in the last few T20I series for India and has managed to perform whenever he has been presented with an opportunity. The 24-year-old has played just three ODIs so far, scoring 88 runs and has got one half-century in his kitty.
Kishan, with his aggressive batting style, might just be suited to the middle order, and he needs some big performances to get back in contention for the T20 World Cup 2022. The youngster has got immense potential, but it is important to back it up runs with a lot of contenders around.
