Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta abused her coach Sanjay Bangar after the team’s one-run defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore as reported by Indiatoday. But Preity Zinta had responded for this through social media saying that it is a cooked up story by the Journalist.

The article in Indiatoday was reported saying:  “Preity was apparently upset with Bangar’s decision to send Farhaan Behardien ahead of Axar Patel, who had played a cameo against Kolkata Knight Riders the previous week. Behardien remained unbeaten on 9 off 7 balls, failing to make any impact on the game while Patel did not even get a chance to bat. Preity felt the Gujarat all-rounder would have been a better bet to finish the match off for the hosts.”

“Furious after the defeat, Preity stormed into the team dugout and had a go at Bangar. Reportedly, her rant was laden with expletives and she used the F-word repeatedly,” it added.

Preity Zinta wrote on her Facebook wall that, both She and Sanjay Bangar had denied the story and it still got printed.

Preity also explained the complete incident happened – “I did speak to Veeru & Sanjay for exactly 20 seconds and asked why Axe did not bat after which I congratulated Virat Kohli & spoke to him briefly as he walked up to me. After which I proceeded to have a chat with Shane Watson& then left the ground with my husband & In-Laws as we were in one car & I was disappointed.”

“I will not deny that I was disappointed but how dare any journalist cook up a story with me as a Villain. Just because I do not Support “PAID MEDIA or MEDIA NET” does not mean I am a soft target,” she added.
