On Saturday, it was chase master Virat Kohli at it again, playing a tremendous knock, this time along with AB de Villiers against Delhi Daredevils. Chasing a target of 181, Royal Challengers Bangalore had lost two early wickets but the duo didn’t look back, adding 118 runs.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Kohli opted to chase the target in what was a must-win game for the sides in order to stay in the tournament. One of them was getting out of the tournament for sure. India’s former U19 skipper Prithvi Shaw had shown an impressive form in the tournament but failed to provide decent start to the side when he was done by the Chahal delivery, missing out an opportunity to help the side post a big total in front of the RCB.
However, the young Mumbai boy didn’t miss out the opportunity to catch up with the RCB and India skipper Virat Kohli. The 19-year old posted a picture on micro-blogging site Twitter with the Indian skipper. He was pleased meeting Virat Kohli who played a terrific inning to help the side clinch the game. He captioned the picture and added that he was in deep conversation with Kohli.
Shaw’s Tweet:
In deep conversation with @imVkohli after last night's game. Such a pleasure sir. pic.twitter.com/55fyAwKjCg

After the wicket of Shaw and Roy, skipper Iyer and last match’s centurion Rishabh Pant added 93 runs to get things on track for the side. It was Pant who started his innings from where had left in his last match. Pant smashed another half-century to clinch the orange cap from Kings XI Punjab’s opener KL Rahul. Abhishek Sharma, another U19 World Cup winning player along with Vijay Shankar added quickfire runs in the final overs to take the total to 181 runs.
However, the bowlers had no answers to the brilliance of Kohli and De Villiers who without any hiccups took the side to the victory, eventually keeping their hope of qualifying for the qualifiers of the tournament alive. They now need to win all the remaining matches of the tournament and hope the other results go their way in order to find a place in the top 4.
