3. Usman Khan
The 23-year-old left arm swing bowler first made headlines in 2013 when he was just 18. Young Usman was then named in the ODI and T20I squads against Sri Lanka. Although he wasn’t picked in the ODIs, he got a chance to represent his country in the T20Is. From then, his career saw many ups and downs. Although Usman remained on the fringes of selection, an opportunity in the national side seemed all but probable. Usman wasn’t picked in the national side after the series against the Lankans in October 2017.
However, Usman has stunned everyone with his fantabulous performances. Playing for the Karachi Kings, Usman picked 16 wickets in just 9 games. He was the third highest wicket-takers and stood fourth on the list of best average with an average of 16.12. He played a very important role in the success of the Kings and would definitely be in the reckoning for an international call-up.
