PSL this year was more of a bowlers tournament. The bowlers reigned their supremacy and proved a point as to why Pakistan is known for producing great quicks. The 29-year-old Rahat Ali was no exception and was one of the better bowlers in the tournament. After being axed from the national side in 2016, Ali has had some patchy times. He wasn’t as consistent and was one of the reasons for him being axed.

But PSL 2018 was a game changer for Ali. Playing for the Quetta Gladiators, Ali ended the tournament as the fourth highest wicket-taker. In 11 games that he played, Ali picked 15 wickets at an average just above 21. On the back of these stellar performances, Ali would be hoping to make a comeback into the national team.
