After that emphatic win against the Quetta Gladiators, at Sharjah, the Peshawar Zalmi find themselves in a real spot of bother with another international player going down to injury. With their enthusiastic captain Darren Sammy already being doubtful for the team’s next encounter courtesy the knee injury that he sustained in the previous game, Haris Sohail will also be seen warming the benches for the next few games pertaining to a hand injury.
Peshawar Zalmi entered the tournament in their quest to defend their title but seem to lose their way with these regular injuries that are hindering their campaign in the ongoing PSL. The stars in Yellow as their captain proudly says find themselves in the bottom half of the table with 2 wins in the four matches played so far. Although, these are just the early days in the league and the team would love to test their bench strength in the absence of some key players.
No cover named for Haris Sohail
The news regarding the injury was conveyed via Social Media on Twitter by the league’s official Twitter handle as Haris injured his hand during practice and will be out of action for a few games. The tweet even notified that no new player has been added as the cover for the injured Haris Sohail as the Pakistan International is believed to join the team after few games. Although, Umaid Asif who was earlier named in as the replacement for injured Hasan Ali would fill in the shoes for Sohail if required.
Here’s the tweet:

The Zalmis from Peshawar are set to play their next game tonight against the Lahore Qalandars, at Sharjah. The opponents find themselves reeling at the bottom of the table as they are still in search for their maiden win in the tournament. On the other hand, the men in yellow would look to carry the momentum gained with that close win against the Gladiators that saw a nail-biting finish. And there couldn’t be a better foil for them against the bottom-ranked side that could help them move up in the Points Table. Whereas, the Qalandars seriously searching for a win would fancy themselves against the injury struck Peshawar Zalmi to open their account in this edition.
