PSL 2018: Imad Wasim furious after Rahat Ali's rude send-off

Imad Wasim is touted as one of the finest talents in the current Pakistan set up and many believe he would be leading the team in the future. The current head coach of Pakistan cricket team Mickey Arthur too suggested the same and his stint as a captain with the Karachi Kings is going to do a world of good for the all-rounder.

The Karachi Kings’ is currently in the news for some wrong reasons. In the Pakistan Super League (PSL) game between the Kings and Quetta Gladiators, he got involved in a heated altercation with fellow Pakistani Rahat Ali. The Gladiators’ speedster’s behaviour disappointed Imad Wasim and he too didn’t back of from reciprocating vehemently.

Digging a little deep into the incident, Imad Wasim got dismissed by Rahat Ali. Pumped with joy, Rahat uttered a few words and made a gesture asking him to “Get out”. This didn’t go down well with the Kings captain and there was a heated exchanged between them before he started walking towards the dressing room.

Kings find themselves in a precarious situation

In that game against the Gladiators, the Kings lost by a huge margin of 67 runs, which happens to be the biggest victory this season in terms of runs. This win took Sarfraz Ahmed’s team to the third position whilst the Karachi franchise find themselves in the fourth position.

The Lahore Qalandars are clearly out of the competition losing 6 games and winning just one. So the battle might be coming down to Karachi and Peshawar Zalmi for the final ticket to the playoffs. Zalmi, the defending champions, have struggled to find form this season, losing a few games from winning positions. Some players have travelled back to their countries due to International duties and some others are injured.

Imad Wasim now finds himself in a tricky situation as a skipper and will have to bring his best in order to lead his troops to Pakistan for the playoff games. Although there has been no reaction yet from the hierarchy, both Wasim and Rahat might get penalized for breaching the code of conduct.
