PSL 2018: Imran Tahir reveals his surprise eight-pack during the game
It was a great day for Tahir on the field as he returned with the figures of 3/19.
Pakistan Super League (PSL) is up and running in Dubai as the six teams are competing for ultimate glory. So far seven matches have been completed and the T20 extravaganza hasn’t disappointed the cricket fans. Though no matches have been high-scoring, the middling totals are proving out to be a thriller. With all these T20 leagues, there comes an entertainment factor attached to it. The same thing happened on Sunday when South African leggie Imran Tahir revealed his eight-pack during the course of the game.
Imran Tahir is featuring for Multan Sultans in the ongoing third edition of the tournament. The funny incident took place during their game against Islamabad United in the second innings. In the 13th over, Tahir fired a throw to the wicketkeeper Kumar Sangakkara from fine leg and saved a run for his team. Soon after the fielding effort, the camera was on him as the commentators were busy talking about his fielding. That is when Tahir pulled up the bottom of his shirt and revealed his surprisingly well-defined rig.
While many were left in awe of his eight packs, some thought it was his running after taking the wicket helps his physique.
Tahir’s performance
Imran Tahir has set the stage on fire in PSL so far and has featured in all three matches for his team. While Multan Sultans is second on the charts only behind Karachi Kings, the leg-spinner from South Africa is also among the top wicket-takers of the tournament. Tahir has scalped 7 wickets so far in the competition and is turning out to be a great pick for his team.
Speaking about the game against Islamabad, the leggie had turned the game on its head midway through the second innings as his team was defending only 113. He picked the wickets of Sahibzada Farhan, Asif Ali and Andre Russell in quick succession and finished with the figures of 3/19. Though his team lost the game, Tahir’s job with the ball was hailed by many.
