Kamran Akmal’s batting form, the comeback men Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif helped the team with their hand of contributions. Playing against the Habib Bank Limited team in final, the WAPDA side elected to bowl and bowled out the opposition to 236.
Scoring 278 in the first innings in the reply helped WAPDA despite Imam-ul-Haq’s efforts by scoring a double ton. Salman Butt’s 2nd century in the game helped his side to bat out for 111 overs in the 4th innings and sneak through on basis of first innings lead.
