Queensland offers Chris Lynn a contract for JLT Cup 2018
Lynn is considered perhaps the best batsman in the world.
In recent times, Chris Lynn has become a rather important member of the Australian T20 side. With the ability to clear the fence at will, Lynn has also been quite sought-after when it comes to competing in global T20 Leagues in various countries. Having played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, Lynn has also made it big in the Big Bash League.
Now, with the JLT Cup coming his way, the 28-year old has had an offer to represent Queensland. Earlier, having been left out in the cold due to injuries, Lynn is now looking to get a lot more involved in the 50-overs format. Speaking about the same, Lynn stated that it has indeed been a few years since he was part of a setup such as Queensland in a cup rather similar to the JLT Cup.
“It’s been a few years since I have been a part of the group for the limited overs competition so I’m looking forward to getting involved and hopefully help us to play some good cricket,” he said on Monday (July 30).
Lynn Enjoying his cricket
Queensland offered a contract to Lynn only after the latter proved his fitness. However, it also came after all-rounder Jason Floros gave up his contract to focus on tertiary studies. However, in spite of this, the 28-year old Lynn is certain that he can indeed make an impact upon his return to the side. Lynn is also vying for a spot in the Australia side after the likes of Warner, Smith, and Bancroft was handed year-long bans.
“I’ve enjoyed training with the boys in the off-season and am keen to get into the playing side of things again, first with the Knight Riders in the CPL and then the JLT Cup.”
