South Africa whitewashed Bangladesh in both Test and ODI series’ winning all games in a comprehensive fashion. They did not have to break much sweat in any match of the tour. The visitors failed to put up any fight throughout the tour, but there is T20 series yet to come. South African wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock believes Bangladesh is a good T20 team and South Africa must be wary of them.
Quinton de Kock rates Bangladesh highly
De Kock refused to rule out Bangladesh’s chances of making a comeback in the T20 leg of the tour. He said that visitors are a strong team in the T20 format and refused to make any predictions.
“Bangladesh are a very strong side in T20. Let’s see, what happens.” The left-handed batsman said as quoted by the bdcrictime.com
Quinton de Kock was not in great form coming into the series. He had failed to make much impact vs England in England. But he was back to his best in the series vs Bangladesh as he scored a century and a fifty in the 3 match series.
“The ball was coming to the bat very nicely. I didn’t do well in the England series. I played well here. Even though the wickets were pretty same in all the matches, I will keep my 168 in the first ODI on top.” de Kock seemed delighted with his performance
Praise for Bavuma
Hashim Amla was the rested for the last ODI, and Bavuma got the chance. The left-handed batsman seemed impressed with his new opening partner but lamented the fact that Bavuma failed to score a half-century.
“I felt good to open with Bavuma. He helped me to play well. He played really well. It would have been better if we both scored fifty.” de Kock praised his partner
The South African wicketkeeper-batsman seemed delighted with the efforts of the team throughout the series. “We didn’t give them any kind of chance. Our bowling was outstanding. The newcomers bowled well too. Bavuma also batted well.”
