Kagiso Rabada has always been a whole-hearted trier on the field and he has shown intent even in the ongoing Test series versus India. The South African speedster didn’t have the greatest of games in Visakhapatnam, but that hasn’t fizzled out the spirit from him by any stretch of the imagination. He has bowled his heart out in the second game at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

On hot and steamy conditions, he has kept running in. But there was an incident when the fast bowler lost his cool. He was seen shouting at wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock. The occurring took place in the first ball of the 123rd over. Rabada churned out a good-length delivery on and around the off-stump and Ravindra Jadeja, the batsman on strike, tapped it back to the bowler.

Rabada in return lobbed the leather to De Kock. However, the keeper wasn’t aware that Rabada threw the ball at him. Subsequently, the ball went away from De Kock, who had to run a bit in order to collect the same. In the meantime, Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, was aware of the situation.

He noticed De Kock being absent-mindset and took it as a chance to sneak in a single. After De Kock’s lazy approach, Rabada wasn’t happy by any means. He hurled some stern words at his teammate. The rotation of strike helped India as in the third ball of the over, Virat got a boundary.

Rabada bowling with venom

Following the 203-run defeat in Vizag, Faf du Plessis’ Proteas have had to fight it out even in the second Test. On Day one, it was only Rabada, who was able to somewhat get under the skins of the in-form Indian batters. He found Rohit Sharma’s outside edge to strike first blood. Then he got rid of Cheteshwar Pujara and Mayank Agarwal in quick succession after the duo’s 138-run stand.

Rabada has hardly been down on pace with his bowling speed around the 140 kph mark. If the visitors are to make a comeback, it goes without saying that Rabada needs to keep picking up wickets. Moreover, he needs support from the other bowlers on a strip, which is expected to break as the game progresses.
