Quinton De Kock missed South Africa’s T20 World Cup encounter against the West Indies after he decided that he will not take the knee for the Black Lives Matter Movement.
And, this decision from De Kock has hogged the limelight in the world of cricket. De Kock later issued an apology and stated that he did not want to hurt the sentiments of anybody by not taking a knee.

And now, South African batter Rassie van der Dussen has revealed that the Proteas will welcome back Quinton De Kock with open arms. Adding that De Kock is one of the best players in the world, van der Dussen also said that nobody holds any grievances against De Kock for his actions.
“Quinny is one of the best players in the world. The team will welcome him back with open arms. It is not even a case of him having to ask us. We understood what he did. If he is selected, which I am sure he will be, he will come back like nothing ever happened. Nobody holds any grievances,” said Rassie van der Dussen according to iol.co.za.

Rassie van der Dussen also added that he hopes that Quinton De Kock is in the right frame of mind to once again produce match-winning performances for the South African side. Terming De Kock as a ‘brother’ van der Dussen also stated that De Kock is a world-class player.
“Hopefully, he can be in the right frame of mind to deliver those match-winning performances that he has always had and is so valuable to us as a team. More important is having Quinny on the field, and having our brother and friend, and world-class player back in the team,” said van der Dussen.
Rassie van der Dussen also added that Quinton De Kock is remorseful for his actions and concluded by stating that everyone in the South African side supported him.
“Quinny is remorseful, and I can say that in a positive way. Even though he took that decision, everyone understood why he took that decision and we supported him even though the timing wasn’t great the whole day, and it was a bit chaotic to the match, but we all supported him,” concluded van der Dussen.
