Australia dominated South Africa in the first Test thoroughly but the altercation between Quinton de Kock and David Warner have made the headlines. It is a pity that the performances of Mitchell Starc and Aiden Markram are not being talked at all with the current and former players from both the countries getting engaged in a banter on social media as well. However, if all that wasn’t enough, now De Kock’s sister Dalean has warned the Australian opener after watching the mid-tunnel feud between the two.
The sledging was at its peak when Markram and De Kock began frustrating the visitors with their counter-attacking partnership. The Australians, as usual, were having a go at the batsmen to unsettle them. But something sparked suddenly and Warner was caught in the cameras trying to attack De Kock while the teams were returning from the ground for the tea break.
The news later resurfaced that the South African took a personal dig over Warner which prompted an emotional reaction from him.
What did his sister say?
However, it is still not clear that what was actually said in the middle and it is being reported that Warner sledged De Kock for almost an hour while on the field which pulled the trigger. While the skipper Steve Smith has already cleared that nothing personal was said to De Kock, his counterpart Faf du Plessis has maintained the stance that both the sides were to be blamed for the ugly fallout.
The things are getting a lot personal now with the family members getting involved in the matter as the sister of Quinton, Dalean de Kock, has clearly warned David Warner in her tweet which read, “Wtf ! I’ll hurt you @davidwarner31″.
The ICC is looking into the matter currently and a stern action is expected to be taken by the match referee Jeff Crowe. Even after the match, the team managers from both the countries were seen discussing and a verdict on the same might come soon.
The second Test between South Africa and Australia will commence on March 9 and the tempers are expected to flare even more in the coming days.
