R Ashwin and Prithi Ashwin celebrate 6 years of togetherness
Ashwin had tied the knot with Prithi Ashwin back in the year 2011.
Ace Indian cricketer R Ashwin recently celebrated his 6th wedding anniversary on November 13 this year. Ashwin had tied the knot with Prithi Ashwin back in the year 2011. He had taken to the micro blogging site Twitter to celebrate the occasion and wish his partner on the special day. Call it the irony of professional cricket, the star cricketer could not be with his wife on the occasion.
Ashwin is currently in Kolkata with the national side as he is gearing up for the first Test between India and Sri Lanka. He shared a lovely couple picture and a picture of the cake along with the message for his wife. R Ashwin wrote, “It’s been 6 years since we got married @prithinarayanan and it’s passed by so quickly, thanks for being there with me through thick and thin.”
Prithi was quick to come with a reply to the lovely tweet. She added a cheeky little question to the message wherein she asked whether their relationship is strong enough to go through keto together. Prithi Ashwin tweeted, “You are welcome. Thick and thin we managed. But do you think our marriage is strong enough to go through keto together? @ashwinravi99.”
Recalling the first night
Well, Prithi Ashwin was not done just yet. She got a little emotional and nostalgic recollecting the time when the two had got married. She even recalled her wedding night and exclaimed how she was advised to let Ashwin sleep since he had a match the very next day – incidentally at the same venue in Kolkata.
“This day 6 years ago,we were married and off to Kolkatta.I was advised by my kind family to “let him sleep”(as iffffff)because he had a game the next day.But the team had hidden alarms that went off through the night.Thankfully we batted the next day @ashwinravi99 #Iamchamathu,” wrote Prithi Ashwin.
Feeling Forever Alone
She added further to her tweet exclaiming that she could not even recognize Ashwin on the field. And now, she feels proud to see her husband inching closer to 300 wickets in Test cricket. “And it was my first Test match EVER. I was so nervous and so excited. First fail moment came when I realised I couldn’t recognise Ashwin on the field And here is this man already heading towards 300 wickets. Blessed,” she said in another tweet.
She was very vocal in saying that she feels along on the day. She thanked the fans for their wishes. But, the fact that she could not be with Ashwin on the day is making her feel bad. Well, a cake would lighten up her mood!
