Rahul Dravid lodges complaint against investment company

Fraudulent activities surrounding investment schemes is an open secret and several people from commoners to celebrities have fallen prey to the tricks of the fraudsters. Recently, Rahul Dravid has reportedly been duped by a firm by the name of Vikram Investment Company. Raghavendra Sreenath is the owner and has agents like Sutram Suresh who operates the organization.

Dravid has previously invested 20 crores in the company. However, only 16 crores have reached the firm. As per the latest reports, Dravid has lodged a complaint with the Indiranagar police in Bangalore, stating that the firm hasn’t received the remaining four crores and also mentioned to have been lured into investment after being promised significant returns.

The illegal company

The firm has been alleged to have duped over 800 people which included sports celebrities like Rahul Dravid, Saina Nehwal, and Prakash Padukone. Meanwhile, the police have already caught hold of the accused. They have been sent to police custody for 14 days. The gang has duped the investors of over Rs 300 crore. We are verifying the documents,” a policeman was quoted as saying by News 18.

Meanwhile, the police have also confirmed that the arrested members have revealed the name of the persons whom they have taken money from. Apart from sports, the company has also targetted people from politics, arts, cinema, and commerce and accumulated a staggering sum of 500 crores. Suresh is a renowned sports journalist in Bangalore and he used his contacts to convince people.

The company, previously, has promised whopping returns of 40 percent on investment only to take the investors for a ride. Rahul Dravid had been one of India‘s most legendary cricketers to have played the game and is someone who doesn’t prefer to get tangled in controversial situations. Meanwhile, the former Indian cricketer would be hoping for the issue to get resolved at the earliest.
