After enduring a horrendous campaign in the T20 World Cup 2021, Team India made a tremendous bounceback and whitewashed New Zealand 3-0 in the recently-concluded T20I series. It was indeed a convincing show from the Men in Blue as they dominated Kiwis throughout the three-match affair. While the opening game went down to the last over, the remaining two fixtures saw India walking away with one-sided wins.
Speaking of the third T20I, the Rohit Sharma-led side registered an emphatic 73-run triumph at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. While several Indian players showcased their batting and bowling skills in the contest, Ishan Kishan impressed one and all with his tremendous fielding display. The southpaw affected a brilliant run-out in the 12th over which saw Tim Seifert going back to the dug-out.

After Kishan affected the dismissal, Dravid, with a smile, patted T. Dilip on the back. The video of the same went viral on social media as fans have been hailing former Indian captain for his kind gesture. Meanwhile, Team India’s fielding has improved leaps and bounds lately, and Kishan is the latest addition to the list of athletic fielders.
Meanwhile, Kishan also scored 29 off 21 deliveries while batting firs at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Besides him, skipper Rohit Sharma, Axar Patel and Venkatesh Iyer also had a night to remember. Rohit asserted the same in the post-match discussion.
“It’s important to start well. That’s always been my mindset. The way Ashwin bowled, Axar. And how Chahal came back. Good to see Venkatesh Iyer bowling those overs with the skills he has. Important for us going forward. I would prefer that going forward .. teams around the world bat deep till No.8, No.9. Harshal, when he plays for Haryana, he opens the batting for them,” said the 34-year-old after the game.
