Rahul Dravid trends on Twitter after India scripts historic victory at Brisbane

Team India has been on the receiving end of a plethora of praises and applause from all over the world as they defeated Australia in their fortress Gabba in the last Test to emerge victorious in the prestigious Border Gavaskar series by 2-1. What makes this win more special is that the young players stepped up to take the team over the finishing line.
During the four-match Test series against Australia, India was plagued with a truckload of injuries and they kept losing their main players one after the other. Regular Skipper Virat Kohli traveled back to India after the first Test to witness the birth of his first child. This was followed by Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul and Hanuma Vihari getting injured during the tour.
However, the visitors didn’t feel the void of the senior players as the debutants made the most out of the opportunities provided to them and impressed the who’s who of the cricket fraternity.

Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini and T Natarajan grabbed the opportunities with both hands and helped Ajinkya Rahane and his men script history on the Australian soil as Indian went on to register back-to-back Test series triumphs on the Australian soil.
Meanwhile, as soon as India breached the fortress Gabba in Brisbane, where Australia hadn’t lost a single match since 32 years, the Indian cricket fans started trending Rahul Dravid on social networking sites. After retirement, the former Indian captain Dravid joined the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru as their head to groom the young talent and prepare them for to shine for the Men in Blue at the grand stage.
Time and again, several young cricketers have credited Dravid for honing their skills. Thus, the Indian cricket fans paid a tribute to the former Indian captain Rahul Dravid for preparing the future of the Indian cricket. The fans also reckoned that the veteran must be feeling proud of how his students performed at the international stage when India was in trouble.
