Rahul Dravid, who is celebrating his 46th birthday on Friday, is considered one of the most well-behaved cricketers to have played the game. A real gentleman of the game, “The Wall” wasn’t just a brilliant batsman but also one of the most humble human beings.
The former Indian Captain’s old Bakra video isn’t something that any Dravid fan would have missed, so, perhaps it is not surprising that it is trending as an example of decent behavior when two Indian cricketers have landed themselves in controversy for their crass and misogynist comments.
Indian player Hardik Pandya who was accompanied by fellow teammate KL Rahul in a TV talk show is in the middle of this controversy after the duo’s statements on various aspects of their on and off-field life. The all-rounder caused a massive outrage with his comments during the show which were termed ‘misogynist’ and ‘sexist’ by many, forcing the cricketer to issue an apology on social media as well as to the BCCI.
The comments have landed Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul into much trouble with BCCI’s Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai even recommending a two-ODI ban on both the players. As the controversy continued to grow, an old video of India’s former great Rahul Dravid started trending on social media where he fell victim to a ‘bakra’ prank has come out.
Here’s the Video of Dravid’s old ‘Bakra’ prank
Well Hardik Pandya incident reminded me of a young Rahul Dravid who was bullied in MTV Bakra and how well he responded to it. You always can set the right example if you have it in you. Must watch! pic.twitter.com/5X4Py9LvR9

The 46-year-old’s way of handling that scenario is being highlighted, especially as a lesson for Hardik. In the video, Dravid can be seen setting an example of how cricket stars should behave with fans especially young women for our next-gen cricketers.
The duo’s eligibility over featuring in the ODI series between India and Australia also remains under threat. Skipper Virat Kohli, speaking at the press conference ahead of the 1st ODI in Sydney, has branded those comments as ‘personal’, and not in alignment with the team members. About the team composition for the SCG clash, Kohli is awaiting the final decision from the BCCI over the duo’s ban.
